Francois Cloutier (1927-2016) was an accomplished painter who aquired an impressive body of oil paintings over the course of his life. Cloutier spent significant time in Hawaii, learning about native culture and traditions. Filled with great curiosity and deep empathy, many of his wall paintings involve themes based on his understanding of the experience and daily struggles of native peoples.
